Banquet ServerPay Rate: $11.13 an hour plus gratuity and tipsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide guests with the highest quality service to exceed their expectationsSet up events according to recommended standards and Event Order specifications while presenting an attractive and elegant spaceClear spaces after events and begin resetting as appropriateCater food, beverages and supplies to other areas including Prairie IslandMaintain cleanliness and order in event spaces and banquet work stationComplete daily and weekly cleaning as assignedOperate point-of-sales system and handle cash and cash equivalentsAssist the Boat Captain with various cleaning and maintenance of the boatKnowledge and Certification, Skills and Abilities:Preferred Knowledge and Certification:High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience1-year wait staff experiencePrevious guest service experience in a similar "teamwork" environmentPrevious cash handling experienceRequired Skills:Strong organizational skillsExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbove average math skillsRequired Abilities:Ability to work fast and efficientlyAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to serve both internal and external customersAbility to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesPhysical Demands:Must be able to walk and/or stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hoursMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoopMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinelyMust have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds routinelyMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordinationMust be able to operate foot pedalsWorking Environment:Work is performed throughout the property (indoors and outdoors) and may include excessive noise, flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smokeMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contactEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
