Location McLean, Virginia Job Overview Consulting – Technology Consulting – AI & Data – Data Design & Management (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1705361), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Tysons (McLean), VA. Demonstrate in-depth data management and governance knowledge to lead engagement teams in the design and implementation of associated tools and platforms. Design methodology, execute activities to identify business needs and challenges through structured capability assessments, diagnostic analytics, solution analytics, and enterprise analytics. Utilize data strategy, governance, and quality to identify opportunities to transform clients’ organizations. Gather AI Ready Data, collect company datasets to support client goals. Analyze data using Enterprise Intelligence (EI) as an enabler and integrate analytics and business intelligence to provide solutions. Establish project plans, delegate activities, and monitor progress to ensure on‑time delivery. Prepare deliverables, conduct quality assurance, monitor risk, and keep stakeholders informed. Responsibilities Lead engagement teams in strategic design and implementation of data management tools. Identify business needs through structured assessments and analytics. Integrate analytics and BI to comply with client policies and IT environments. Develop project plans, delegate tasks, and monitor progress. Prepare and present client deliverables, conduct QA reviews. Manage risk and keep stakeholders informed of progress and outcomes. Manage and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Maintain long‑term client relationships and cultivate business development opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with ≥5 years of progressive work experience, or Master’s degree with ≥4 years. Minimum 3 years advising clients in at least 2 of the following data supply chain areas: Information strategy Data architecture Information/data governance Master data management Data quality / integration Analytics design/development Minimum 2 years experience in at least one sector: Public Utilities Life sciences Advanced manufacturing Healthcare Minimum 2 years experience with at least one Cloud platform: AWS Google Cloud Platform Microsoft Azure Minimum 2 years experience with at least one Data Storage/Database: MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB Cassandra HDFS Minimum 3 years experience with ETL processes in at least one tool: Informatica AWS Glue Fivetran Talend Integrate.io Oracle Data Integrator IBM InfoSphere DataStage Azure Data Factory Hevo Data Minimum 2 years in Data Cleaning and Preprocessing using at least one tool: OpenRefine Trifacta Alteryx Talend Informatica Tableau Minimum 1 year of program management experience with at least one stack: Python R Julia SQL Minimum 1 year experience in at least one IDE: Jupyter Notebook JupyterLab RStudio PyCharm Spyder Minimum 1 year experience in Data Manipulation and Analysis with at least one library: Pandas (Python) NumPy (Python) dplyr (R) data.table (R) Minimum 2 years experience in Data Visualization with at least two of: Matplotlib (Python) Seaborn (Python) Plotly ggplot2 (R) Tableau Power BI Requires travel up to 80% of the time, including up to 10% international.
