Opportunity Overview :
Accountant position based in Houston, TX. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) Prepare schedules and journal entries for different agencies and states. You will report to the onsite Manager.
Your Day-to-Day:
Prepare schedules and journal entries.
Prepare monthly state and federal reports for the following agencies:
- General Land Office (GLO)
- Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR)
- Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR)
- Commissioner of Land Office (CLO)
- Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC)
Severance Tax Filings for the following States:
- Texas
- Louisiana
- Oklahoma
Maintain tax rates and new setups within ERP.
* Record severance tax reimbursements related to marketing fee adjustments.
* Calculate and process owner interest payments.
* Assist with owner inquiries.
* Develop cross-departmental relationships to ensure information flow.
Who You Are:
- Must have a 4 year. Accounting degree.
- Must have at least (15+ Years)
- Prepared schedules and journal entries
- Experience maintaining tax rates and new setups within ERP.
