HIM Associate

Every day you will prepare and scan medical records and other clinical documentation into the electronic medical record, index and quality-check imaged documents for accuracy and completeness and protect the confidentiality of patient information while following established HIM policies and regulatory requirements. To thrive in this role, you must be highly detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working with technology, and able to manage repetitive processes with accuracy and consistency in a fast-paced environment.Here’s what you will experience working as a HIM Associate:Perform document imaging activities including prepping, scanning, indexing, and validating patient recordsSupport the integrity and accessibility of the electronic health record through accurate document managementWork with internal teams to resolve document discrepancies and maintain record quality standardsFollow HIPAA, privacy, and retention guidelines to safeguard protected health informationContribute to efficient HIM operations through productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time expectationsRequired Skills:High school diploma or equivalent requiredBasic knowledge of electronic medical records, scanning systems, and document indexing preferredStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracyFor this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.61 - $22.95 per hour .
