Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to women during labor and childbirth, monitoring both maternal and fetal status throughout
• Coach and support mothers and their families through all stages of labor and delivery
• Assist physicians during deliveries, including C-sections, and serve in circulator and recovery roles as needed
• Manage and monitor patients receiving IV Magnesium, IV Pitocin, and epidurals in accordance with established patient ratios
• Perform fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Support postpartum patients with breastfeeding education and newborn care within a mother-baby setting

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Current ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with Level 2 Newborn Nursery care, including premature or low-birth-weight infants, a plus
