Data Architect

Location: Chicago, IL Duration: Fulltime

Mandatory Technical Skills

Proficiency in SQL & Python programming expertise
Experience with ETL tools and processes
Knowledge of data visualization tools
Understanding of machine learning and AI concepts
Experience with data integration and API technologies
Knowledge of data quality and master data management principles
Expert knowledge in Databricks platform and ecosystem
Strong data architecture and engineering expertise
Experience with big data technologies
Proficiency in cloud platforms
Understanding of data security and governance
Knowledge of data integration patterns
Experience with Delta Lake architecture

Desirable Technical Skills

Strong understanding of database management systems (RDBMS and NoSQL)
Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration tools.
Expertise in data modeling and design
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
Experience with cloud-based data solutions (AWS)
Familiarity with big data technologies
Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements
Proven experience in enterprise architecture
Strong background in data platforms
Experience leading technical teams
Demonstrated expertise in solution architecture
Strong communication and leadership skills

Job Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture strategies
Develop data models, schemas, and data flow diagrams
Develop data models and metadata standards to ensure consistency and accessibility across the organization.
Establish data governance policies and standards
Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with business needs
Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance
Optimize data storage and retrieval systems
Lead data integration and migration projects
Provide thought leadership on emerging data technologies and trends
Provide industry-leading thought leadership in data architecture
Design and develop strategies across multiple domains
Lead enterprise architecture models and repositories
Facilitate development of architecture patterns and standards
Define roadmaps for current to future state capabilities
Collaborate with business partners on solution design
Bridge business needs with technology delivery
Work closely with engineering teams to implement ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration, and migration strategies
