Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Summary:

Registered Nurse to provide outpatient ambulatory care for medical oncology and hematology oncology patients in a coverage pool setting. The role supports patient triage and problem-solving in collaboration with the clinical team, with a focus on oncology-related needs.

Responsibilities:

• Triage patient needs by phone and route concerns appropriately to ensure timely care.
• Collaborate with nursing and the clinical team to coordinate patient follow-up and problem resolution.
• Assess patient symptoms and escalate clinical concerns according to established protocols.
• Support safe, patient-centered outpatient workflows in an oncology clinic environment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with team members.
• Uphold infection control practices and prepare for exposure to infectious and communicable conditions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and maintain CT licensure or compact status on file at submission.
• Have at least 2 years of Registered Nurse experience, preferably in ambulatory care or outpatient oncology.
• Demonstrate prior travel experience supporting multi-site or flexible assignment demands.
• Possess oncology patient experience, including exposure to medical oncology and hematology oncology populations.
• Hold an ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy provider card as required.
• Ability to lift and restrain patients as needed and work safely in potentially assaultive or stressful situations.
