About the Organization Alaska Center for the Performing Arts has been a downtown landmark and icon for over 30 years. We have served as an arts entertainment hub for the community with a diverse season delivered by our 9 resident companies and other presenters. We are a non‑profit organization founded to operate, promote and maintain a four‑theatre complex which serves as a social and cultural meeting place for all Alaskan residents, the visiting public and performing arts presenters and producers. Our stages are portals to a world of theatre, music, dance and a host of art forms that inspire and thrill. Position: Janitor Category: Janitorial Employment Type: Part‑Time Exemption Status: Non‑Exempt Responsibilities Coordinate with the Lead Custodian to prioritize and accomplish cleaning tasks in and around the building, such as lobby spaces, bathrooms, offices, and theatre spaces. Work as an on‑site custodian during events as needed. Observe safe working habits and report unsafe ones. Qualifications Great attention to detail. Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and tools. Ability to work independently or in a team setting. Positive attitude. Hours / Schedule Hours per week will vary depending on event schedules, as our primary event season is September to May. Typical shifts are 8 hours working no later than 10 pm and require weekend availability. Location Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Inc.
