Core Responsibilities Experience working in the NICU required. Follow the nursing process, which includes assess, plan, implement and evaluate; the process is ongoing. Assessment: Demonstrate a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze healthcare consumer data (psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors). Plan: Set measurable and achievable short‑ and long‑term goals according to standards of care, in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team. Implement: Implement or modify the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based on standards of care and evidence‑based practice; include care coordination, education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation, following professional and legal standards for delegation. Evaluate: Use a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals; revise the plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team. Document all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record. Job Requirements Experience working in the NICU required. Graduate of an RN nursing program upon hire. Registered Nurse: NE registration required upon hire. Basic Life Support - CPR certification upon hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification within 6 months.
