Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) - IMC

We are seeking a dedicated Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care (IMC) to join our team. This role is essential for providing high-quality care to patients in a community healthcare setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care according to established protocols and standards.
• Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs and symptoms, to identify changes and adjust care as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring safety and efficacy.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation as required.
• Participate in unit meetings, training sessions, and continuous education opportunities.
• Float to Medical Surgical and Telemetry units as required.

Qualifications

• Current State License as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting is required.
• Familiarity with EHR systems, preferably Medhost.
• Ability to manage a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatric patients.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Unit Information

• 30-bed capacity with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:3.
• Focus on patients with conditions such as STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, and Acute Respiratory Failure.
