Job Summary:

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist performs and supports minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in both routine and emergency settings. The role involves preparing patients, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare and screen patients for interventional procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  
  
• 
  Operate specialized imaging equipment, including assisting with neuro IR and GI embolization cases.
  
  
• 
  Maintain a sterile environment and manage supplies to support procedural efficiency.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patients during procedures, administering contrast under supervision and responding to emergencies.
  
  
• 
  Document procedures accurately and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Require at least 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold ARRT R.T.(R) certification and ARRT VI, CV, or CI certification.
  
  
• 
  Possess BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in neuro IR cases, including stroke call coverage.
  
  
• 
  Be capable of managing GI embolization procedures and emergency situations.
  
  
• 
  Show commitment to safety and patient care standards.
