For more information visit our website The Role (12-month fixed term contract) As Scientist Enzyme Technology , you will be part of an exciting international R&D and business environment , working with cutting edge technologies and a broad portfolio of diverse projects. This is a bench-scientist position focused on enzyme characterization. Your Responsibilities: Join our team of dedicated and skilled experts and work together towards determining protein structure-function relationships with a particular focus on application performance Biochemically characterize a large variety of enzymes using a broad spectrum of analytical techniques Develop new enzymatic assays to do so – from application-relevant assay to high-throughput screening Work in project teams , in which you take ownership for the work that you plan and carry out Document, report and present your experimental results You will work in an interdisciplinary manner within the Protein Chemistry Germany team , which is part of the global Enzyme Technology team, as well as with broader R&D and Application development teams located in Germany and in Finland About You A scientific education and degree (Bachelor or Master) or multiple years of working experience Experience with high-throughput screening and using automated and complex equipment is a plus A good understanding of enzymes in industrial applications is a plus A hands-on attitude combined with a drive for results ; you are a true team player The continuous desire to learn and develop new skills as well as the flexibility and interest to work on enzymes for various applications Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and capabilities (fluent in English; written and spoken. German and Finish is a plus) This is a full-time position with a 12-month fixed term contract due to a parental leave.
