Physician Assistant

The Encompass Group is partnering with a well-established orthopedic practice in Northwest Indiana to identify a Physician Assistant to join its growing team. This opportunity offers the chance to work alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons and clinical professionals, with a primary focus on sports medicine, joint replacement, and general orthopedics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in orthopedic care and a desire to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. This role offers a combination of clinical responsibilities, surgical first assisting, and direct patient care. Experienced Physician Assistants and motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients by obtaining medical histories, performing physical assessments, and reviewing diagnostic results.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with orthopedic physicians.
• Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate treatment options as permitted by state regulations.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care, including hospital rounds and follow-up evaluations.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on clinical findings and physician recommendations.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, and continuity of care across clinical settings.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, recovery expectations, and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current Physician Assistant license in the state of Indiana.
• Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Interest or experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, joint replacement, or general orthopedic care.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
