Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse - CVICU RN

Schedule

Night Shift

Assignment Details

Permanent placement; salary wage range negotiable.

Requirements

• Current State RN Licensure
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Critical Care experience
• Recent experience as an Open Heart Recovery Nurse preferred
• Ability to operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines and invasive lines
• Knowledge of cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation

Responsibilities

• Provide care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable cardiac patients.
• Offer physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients.
• Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge including discharge planning.
• Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
• Operate advanced medical equipment and manage patients requiring short-term ventilation support.
