You'll enjoy:A collaborative and compassionate team cultureOpportunities for career growth, mentorship, and cross-trainingParticipation in community events, with paid volunteer hoursA chance to live and work in Portland, Maine—known for its ocean views, outdoor adventures, and foodie sceneWhat You'll DoAccurately handle and care for instruments appropriately, including appropriate selection of cleaning agents, lubricants, examination of function, identification and assembly and preparation for sterilizationOperate steam and ethylene oxide sterilization equipment including routine cleaning and maintenanceResponsible and accountable for maintaining aseptic technique with instrumentation and sterile fieldPerform regularly scheduled sterility control checks and re-sterilize implants and inventory as neededPerform regularly scheduled inventory checks in OR rooms and backstock and keep organized list of inventory needsCleaning of OR rooms, equipment and surfaces following hospital cleaning protocolsRestock all necessary OR room supplies, instrumentation and inventory in an organized manner while ensuring the sterility of equipmentWhat We Are Looking ForAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced setting and collaborate as a teamExcellent communication skills with team membersExcellent organizational skillsBasic understanding of surgical implementationPerform general physical activities that require bending, standing, stooping, moving room to roomIf you're a veterinary technician ready to expand your skills and grow in a specialty practice—we'd love to hear from you.
