Unlike a traditional Business Analyst, this role is responsible for both gathering requirements and directly designing and configuring Salesforce solutions to meet those needs. The Functional Consultant collaborates with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Business Analysts to deliver scalable solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value.What You'll Do:Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and Business Analysts to understand and document business processes and needsTranslate documented requirements into actionable Salesforce solutionsDesign and configure Salesforce solutions using declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, Reports, Dashboards, etc.)Own the end-to-end solution design and configuration process, leveraging Salesforce declarative tools and best practicesManage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in the SFDC application suite, prioritizing declarative solutionsProvide training and support to end users on Salesforce and related sales and marketing technology tools (e.g., Conga Apttus, Ironclad CLM, DocuSign)Communicate and collaborate with technical resources (Developers) and internal stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions to support business requirements.Utilize Salesforce best practices related to release management and deploy changes from sandboxes to productionCreate and maintain documentation on business processes, requirements, and application configurationIdentify system inefficiencies/gaps, troubleshoot operational issues, and explore opportunities for updates and enhancementsSupport the governance model by working closely with all system partners to ensure minimal impact to organizations within the Salesforce instanceStay current with Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends to proactively recommend improvementsAssist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and change management activitiesCollaborate on cross-cloud projects (Sales, Service, CPQ, Experience Cloud, etc.) as neededBasic Requirements:BS, BA, and/or Masters in Business, Computer Science, Information Services, or related discipline, or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years’ experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions using information technology5+ years’ experience in Salesforce administration or consulting5+ years’ experience with Sales and Support operations3+ years of experience working with the SFDC product suiteExperience with advanced Salesforce configuration (Flows, Process Builder, Lightning App Builder, etc.)Intermediate understanding of Salesforce development (Apex, JavaScript) for communicating requirements to developersSalesforce Administrator certification required; additional Salesforce Consultant certifications preferredPreferred Skills / Experience:Experience with Salesforce CPQ and CLM applicationsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience with user training, documentation, and change managementAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional teamWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
