StorSoft Technology Corp is recruiting a senior MuleSoft Integration Consultant in New York. The engagement focuses on Integration Delivery and Testing - specifically, connecting enterprise financial and HR platforms through an API-led connectivity model using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Remote/Hybrid - Suffolk County, NY area preferred and occasional travel to Hauppauge may be required.

The client is actively modernizing its enterprise resource planning and financial ecosystem, integrating three core platforms: CGI Advantage 4.0 (financial/ERP), Workday (HR/Finance management), and PaymentWorks (vendor onboarding and payment compliance). The goal is to eliminate manual document re-entry by building automated data pipelines across these systems.

Scope of Work

The selected consultant will perform the following integration services:

API Design and Development

•       Lead design, development, and deployment of REST APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform

•       Develop reusable MuleSoft components, connectors, and RAML specifications

•       Produce rigorous technical documentation for all integration assets

Architecture and Lifecycle Management

•       Architect and maintain integration flows connecting CGI Advantage 4.0, Workday, and PaymentWorks

•       Manage the end-to-end API lifecycle: design, versioning, mapping, testing, and deployment

•       Configure API Manager policies, gateways, and SLA monitoring

Requirements and Process Analysis

•       Translate business and technical requirements into integration specifications and workflow designs

•       Analyze current-state processes to identify automation opportunities

Security and Governance

•       Configure OAuth2, TLS, and security policies via MuleSoft administrative tools

•       Ensure secure data transmission across all integrated platforms

Testing and Optimization

•       Conduct integration testing, error handling design, and root-cause defect analysis

•       Track defects by severity (Critical / High / Medium / Low) in a weekly progress log

•       Support performance tuning and environment configuration for all API integrations

Collaboration and Knowledge Transfer

•       Collaborate with the County technical team to validate integration specifications

•       Deliver knowledge transfer sessions and integration best practices documentation

Project Management

•       Participate in mandatory weekly status meetings with the client project manager

•       Maintain a weekly progress log tracking defects, risks, and milestone status

Required Technical Qualifications

•       Extensive hands-on expertise with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform: Anypoint Studio, API Manager, Anypoint Exchange, and Runtime Manager

•       Expert-level proficiency in DataWeave 2.0 for data transformation and mapping

•       Proven experience developing, deploying, and supporting REST APIs and Mule applications

•       Strong mastery of API-led connectivity, microservices architecture, and enterprise integration patterns (EIP)

•       Documented experience integrating two or more SaaS systems in an enterprise environment

•       Advanced proficiency with JSON, XML, RAML, OAuth2, TLS, and modern API security standards

•       Strong debugging, performance tuning, and environment configuration skills

•       Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into technical integration requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Target system experience (directly applicable to client platforms):

•       CGI Advantage 4.0 - financial/ERP API integration

•       Workday - HR/Finance integration patterns

•       PaymentWorks - vendor onboarding and payment compliance integration

•       Tyler Munis ERP or Euna Grants management platforms

Domain and certification preferences:

•       Experience designing integrations for government or public sector environments

•       MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD - Level 1 or 2) - active certification preferred
•       MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect - active certification preferred

•       Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud platforms

•       Experience with DevOps / CI/CD pipeline integration

•       Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams

•       Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

•       Comfort working under the authority of a government client's designated project manager
