EWS Texas is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of commercial construction projects from initiation through closeout. As the face of the company to our clients, you'll be the driving force behind on-time, on-budget, and on-spec project delivery — managing schedule, cost, quality, and subcontractor performance every step of the way. What You'll Do

• Own each project from initial turnover through closeout, meeting or exceeding client expectations against the estimate, schedule, and signed contract.
• Apply general estimating principles to project turnover reviews, bidding scope changes, and change event pricing.
• Source, vet, and manage subcontractors — continuously monitoring and controlling their performance.
• Build and manage the project construction budget: track expenditures, flag variances, and drive corrective action.
• Define project scope and deliverables, then build the schedule, staffing plan, standards, and milestones needed to hit them — including resolving design issues and processing change orders.
• Conduct installation inspections at critical project phases and secure approvals when required.
• Maintain a safe, compliant jobsite and office environment in line with OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate directly with the fabrication team to understand capabilities, schedules, and constraints.
• Partner with engineering on shop and fabrication drawings — reviewing, redlining, and tracking field-driven changes through to as-built documentation.
• Own billing: submit complete, accurate billing on time to keep project cash flow positive.
• Manage materials through proactive purchasing, inventory audits, and proper sequencing and storage.
• Complete submittals on schedule and coordinate manpower needs with the field supervision and Vice President of Operations.
• Attend weekly subcontractor meetings on the jobsite and review progress with the EWS superintendent.
• Keep the project's Advanced Project Planning Workbook current, and deliver weekly reporting on budget, manpower, and field progress.
• Create and maintain the EWS Texas project schedule, updating it weekly for delays, scope changes, and impacts.
• Communicate RFIs and project progress promptly — including immediate verbal and written notice of any delays or negative impacts to the general contractor.
• Enforce EWS safety policies, project-specific codes, and OSHA standards to prevent fines and work stoppages.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field — or 5+ years of project management experience with a documented track record of completing projects safely and under budget.
• Solid working knowledge of architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and the commercial construction process.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities under pressure without losing sight of schedule and budget.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate teams and subcontractors alike.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, Procore, Spectrum, and CRM tools.
• Understanding of general and project-specific code requirements.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Working knowledge of quality control, financial management, estimating, and supply management.
• A valid, restriction-free driver's license and a legally registered, insured vehicle.
• A self-starter mindset — comfortable executing with minimal direct oversight and continuously learning about building envelope construction and fabrication.

Work Environment & Travel

This role splits time between a professional office setting and active construction jobsites, using standard office equipment along with occasional construction tools and equipment. It requires up to 40% local travel, up to 20% regional travel, and occasional national travel. The role also involves regular jobsite visits, standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs; reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
