Radiologic Technologist - OR

Role Overview Responsible for acquiring high-quality diagnostic radiographic images to support patient care in the Radiology department. Ensures adherence to radiation safety and infection control standards while performing basic and complex imaging procedures. Key Responsibilities Produces accurate radiographs, adjusts procedures based on patient conditions, and completes documentation. Administers contrast material safely, maintains equipment, and ensures proper room setup. Conducts patient interviews, explains procedures, and assists physicians as needed. Participates in quality review and safety programs, transports patients, and collaborates with healthcare teams to meet radiologic needs. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program or equivalent, with ARRT certification in Radiography within 3 months and Texas MRT licensure within 6 months. Must have CPR certification. Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, and patient-centered skills. Knowledge of radiologic equipment and safety protocols is essential. Additional Duties Maintains equipment, supports performance improvement initiatives, and serves as a resource and role model for staff and students.
