Job Overview Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a culinary professional—Cook—to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities Assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining. Develop your knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods (grill, sauté, and fry). Use knives and various kitchen equipment to reach and recreate recipes. Be consistent in all food preparation. Learn how to minimize food waste through cross utilization. Create workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment. Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat). Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. Be responsible for the quality of ingredients. Qualifications Active Food Handler’s certification or the ability to obtain one. Willingness to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently and be on your feet for long periods of time. Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds. Minimum 21 years of age.
