Lasting Media is a creative media agency built around high-quality content production. We serve clients mostly in the entertainment industries and produce everything from branded short‑form content to long‑form YouTube series. We are adding a video editor who is equally comfortable cutting a polished client deliverable and thinking strategically about what makes a YouTube video actually perform. The "YouTube Specialist" part of this title is important. We need someone who understands retention, thumbnails, titles, and how the algorithm rewards (and punishes) content choices. The editing skill gets you in the room. The YouTube knowledge makes you valuable. WHAT YOU'LL DO Edit long‑form YouTube content, short‑form Shorts, and branded client videos across a range of styles Work within Adobe Premiere Pro and Studio One as your primary production environment Apply YouTube‑specific strategy to every long‑form piece: retention hooks, chapter structure, thumbnail direction, and title framing Collaborate with our Creative Director and Media Director on pacing, tone, and storytelling decisions Manage your own edit queue and deliver on time without someone managing every step Stay current on what is working on YouTube and bring that knowledge into the room proactively WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR A strong editing reel that demonstrates range across talking head, branded, and documentary‑style content Real command of Adobe Premiere Pro. Studio One familiarity is a plus Demonstrated understanding of YouTube as a platform, not just a place to upload videos Ability to think about the viewer experience from the first frame, not just the cut Someone who can take direction well and also bring their own creative instincts when given room 2 + years of professional editing experience WHAT THIS IS NOT A motion graphics‑heavy role. Some basic animation and text work is expected, but this is an editing position first Remote. We are an in‑person team in Franklin and that is intentional A place to coast on good technical skills.
