Temporary Assistant Community Manager The Assistant Community Manager will operate under the oversight of the Community Manager to manage day‑to‑day operations and financial functions for a housing community. This temporary role focuses on delinquency and rent collection, financial management, personnel oversight, leasing, maintenance, and administrative duties. Posting all payments and income from applicants, residents, and non‑current residents accurately and timely. Processing and reconciling daily account receivables. Monitoring bad debt, preparing late notices, contacting residents and guarantors, and filing evictions. Supporting budgeted revenues, expenses, and net operating income. Posting charges to resident accounts and handling utilities bill backs. Managing end‑of‑month closing procedures and reporting. Maintaining accurate records and auditing resident files. Walking units and posting move‑out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds. Ensuring daily onsite attendance. Screening, hiring, training, coaching, and developing onsite staff. Providing ongoing staff training, coaching, counseling, and guidance in compliance with company benchmarks. Promoting staff performance and harmony through leadership. Ensuring staff compliance with company policies and procedures. Managing leasing techniques, follow‑up, lease signing, documentation, and reporting. Implementing marketing strategies per the annual marketing plan. Handling resident complaints, concerns, and requests for satisfaction. Developing resident retention programs, such as resident functions, promotions, and newsletters. Showcasing, leasing, and moving in prospective residents. Providing excellent customer service and monitoring maintenance request turnaround. Maintaining property appearance and ensuring repairs are completed promptly. Assisting in supervising all business functions related to operations. Planning resource utilization and equipment economically, obtaining vendor bids and handling service issues. Education / Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry, or one to two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required. Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements. Physical Requirements Regularly standing or sitting for prolonged periods and performing repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions. Required to move about to accomplish tasks and from one worksite to another. Occasional ladder, stair, scaffolding, ramp, step‑stool use; lifting up to 25 lbs.; operating machinery, power tools, motor vehicles or golf carts; working overtime, weekends, night hours; handling hazardous chemicals; operating in various temperatures; working outdoors in precipitation and wind. Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $25 per hour to $25 per hour. The compensation decision considers skill set, background, training, and certifications.
