Per Diem PositionGENERAL PURPOSE:Provides dental hygiene services focused on the prevention and treatment of oral disease while supporting quality patient care in a clinical setting.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and sealant placementTake dental x-rays and polish restorationsAssess oral health and consult with the Dentist as neededMaintain accurate patient records and treatment documentationFollow clinical protocols, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelinesUtilize appropriate ICD diagnostic and billing codesMeet productivity, quality, and contractual standardsAttend required meetings and trainingsPerform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Valid California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license requiredCurrent CPR certification requiredRadiation certification requiredOne year of experience preferredKnowledge of dental hygiene procedures and infection control standardsStrong communication and patient care skillsAbility to maintain accurate records and work effectively in a team environmentWORK ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and push up to 100 lbs.Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movementsHigh manual dexterity and adequate vision/hearing requiredMay be exposed to contagious or infectious diseases #J-18808-Ljbffr
