Respiratory Therapist (Children's)

Position Information

• Shift: 3x12's, rotating days of the week, varied shifts
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: To be discussed during the interview

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Nevada State License (must have prior to start)
• State of Nevada Point of Care Analyst license or equivalent required prior to start
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained prior to start

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
• Recent critical care experience is required
• Prior travel experience with at least one 13-week assignment
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience is required

Additional Comments

Traveling staff may be required to float to various departments as needed, based on their competency levels. Flexibility to work major holidays and the willingness to pick up an additional shift during the scheduled period are expected. The organization reserves the right to call off shifts without penalty for low census, with notification 48 hours in advance during the 13-week contract. Schedules may include weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.

About the Environment

Work in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment with a service radius of 500 miles. As a Level 2 trauma center with stroke accreditation, the facility operates with 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds, providing a volume and pace comparable to that of a Level 1 trauma center.
