Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,038 per week in Greece, NY

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving patients with cardiac, pulmonary, GI, infectious, pain, and unmanaged diabetes diagnoses
Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and utilize telemetry monitoring equipment, EKG machines, and lifepacks
Perform

phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement

• mandatory competency required for all RNs in this role
  Manage peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management (nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks), and isolation precautions
  Activate and coordinate Rapid Response Teams as clinically indicated
  Float within scope to like units as needed, including med/surg, ED boarders, and stable ICU or acute brain injury patients; PCT support available on all units for vitals, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and ADLs
  Required Qualifications
  Active, unencumbered New York State RN license - must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted
  BLS certification

Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers are welcome
Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement
Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy and peripheral IV insertion
Every-other-weekend availability required; on-call is not required
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with bladder scanners and telemetry monitoring equipment
Familiarity with dysrhythmia interpretation and management in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
Experience caring for patients requiring isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management
