Associate Vice President, Commercial Lines Team Leader About the Company Nationally recognized insurance agency/brokerage Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President/Commercial Lines Team Leader for the Chicago region. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, developing, and mentoring the Commercial Account Team, which includes Account Executives and Account Managers. This leadership role involves maintaining full responsibility for day-to-day servicing platforms, relationship building with clients and carriers, branch compliance policies, and human resource functions. The selected leader will also be tasked with the continued growth, both financial and professional, of the branch and team members, and must be prepared to establish themselves as a key player in the local marketplace. Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years' direct commercial lines coverage and account executive level experience, with a generalist background in commercial and professional lines, including small to larger accounts. Proven leadership experience in a retail agency setting is essential, as are excellent organizational, communication, technical, and management skills. A college degree, P&C License, and designations such as CPCU, AU, RPLU, CIC, etc., are a strong plus. The role requires a proven background in maintaining and expanding profitable books of business, meeting the needs of diverse clients, and a background in EPIC software. The ideal candidate will be adept at establishing carrier/underwriter relationships and will be expected to provide service and account management on key accounts, with an overall book of 1M in revenue.
