Communications & Marketing Specialist (W2 Contract) Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Fully Onsite) Duration: 2‑month contract Employment Type: W2 Contract Overview Seeking a Communications & Marketing Specialist to support content creation, digital communications, and marketing initiatives. This role is design-heavy, with a primary focus on transforming provided content into visually compelling graphics and professionally formatted materials, while also supporting written communications and digital outreach. Key Responsibilities Draft press releases, media statements, and talking points Support social media content creation, scheduling, and monitoring Create visual assets using Canva and/or Adobe Suite Design and format marketing materials, flyers, and outreach content Assist with website updates and content posting (WordPress or similar CMS) Support email communications and digital campaigns Conduct research to support messaging and outreach efforts Ensure brand consistency across all materials Provide backup support for communications requests and inbox monitoring Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field Strong graphic design skills (primary focus) Proficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite Ability to convert provided content into polished visual and written materials Experience creating written content such as social media posts and press releases Understanding of digital marketing and social media best practices Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms Strong written and verbal communication skills Secondary Skills (Nice to Have) Email marketing tools Media relations exposure Campaign coordination Branding and visual consistency experience Research and messaging support Business Impact Supports execution of department communication strategies Enhances brand visibility and consistency Improves engagement through digital, written, and visual content Pay And Benefits Pay range: $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
