Veterinary Technician - Emergency Location: Round Rock, TX. Shift: 3 days, 12‑hour shifts including Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Compensation: $23.50–$26 /hour, negotiable based on experience and credentials. Shift differential available. About the Hospital Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center is a 24‑hour emergency and specialty referral hospital. Role Responsibilities Emergency Veterinary Technicians perform a variety of animal‑health duties and ensure quality pet and client care. Key duties include client care and communication, efficient patient assessments, quick response to emergencies, patient monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, patient recovery, anesthetic monitoring, diagnostic imaging, and medical math. Ideal Candidate Strong veterinary skills. Ability to appropriately handle animals. Ability to assist in veterinary medical procedures. Recent experience in a veterinary practice. Willingness to work weekends and holidays. Job Requirements At least 3 years recent experience in veterinary practice. Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. High school diploma or GED. Veterinary Technician license preferred. Previous emergency experience preferred but not required.
