Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Staff Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families in a Med Surg/Telemetry setting. The RN focuses on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions, adhering to the established standards and competencies relevant to the designated service area. The scope of practice encompasses the care of individuals across the lifespan, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the Standards of Nursing Practice, which include assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and revise patient care plans, coordinating care among various disciplines.
• Delegate activities to other healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Engage in shared accountability and decision-making related to nursing practices.
• Participate actively in practice enhancement by implementing personal leadership skills and improving the care environment.
• Adapt to variations in duties based on assigned patient care units.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
• 1+ year of travel nursing experience.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
• Ability to insert IVs.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Proficiency in using EPIC electronic health records.

Additional Information

A temporary Minnesota nursing license is acceptable if a permanent license application has been submitted and the temporary license is valid at the time of submission.

Rotation for every other weekend is required, with no call obligations.
