Senior System/Network Administrator (Onsite)

We are seeking a Senior Systems/Network Administrator to join the Raytheon Solipsys System and Network Administration Team in Fulton, MD. This position is onsite and requires a current U.S. Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship. Responsibilities Windows and Linux system administration of enterprise and lab environments, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Support of virtualized environments (VMWare, Hyper‑V, Citrix, Proxmox) and enterprise domain services (Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM, PKI, DHCP, DNS). Basic network administration: configuring network appliances, ACLs, VLANs, and reporting on system hardening against standards such as CIS, DISA STIG, NIST. Assist with implementation and integration of COTS solutions, infrastructure deployments, and future technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and security policies. Collaborate with the Solipsys Cyber Operations group on vulnerability mitigation, incident response, and compliance efforts. Maintain documentation of system configuration and adherence to hardening requirements. Troubleshoot program and lab environments and provide solutions to complex problems. Qualifications Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3years of experience. Active U.S. Secret security clearance (required prior to start date). U.S. citizenship. CompTIA Security+ certification or eligibility to obtain it. Proficiency in system hardening and security compliance with NISPOM, DISA STIG, NIST800‑171, including implementation and auditing. Experience with scripting in bash and/or PowerShell. Preferred Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creative problem‑solving and self‑driven attitude. Familiarity with container, cloud, DevOps concepts, or software development. Certifications: MCSA, RHCSA, VCP, or other relevant credentials. Ability to lift up to 25lbs for equipment racking. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
