You will collaborate closely with other engineers while also helping elevate coding standards, tooling, and backend best practices across the team.

Accountabilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable production backend services supporting high-traffic and real-time systems.
• Lead architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making for critical platform components.
• Debug and resolve complex production issues across services and multiple layers of the stack.
• Build and maintain secure, high-performance APIs with a strong focus on backward compatibility and reliability.
• Develop seamless integrations with external systems and partners to extend platform capabilities.
• Architect systems capable of handling large-scale data synchronization and auto-scaling workloads.
• Mentor and support other engineers by sharing best practices and raising overall engineering quality.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and development processes across the backend organization.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend or web application development in production environments.
• Strong expertise in modern backend systems, APIs, and relational databases.
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and modular code.
• Experience working on high-traffic or large-scale distributed systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Ruby on Rails is a strong plus.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and containerization tools like Docker is a plus.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across complex system architectures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
