PT Youth Residential Direct Care Specialist-Weekends

Position Overview Join our team as a Youth Residential Direct Care Specialist and help create a safe, supportive environment for youth in a group home setting. You will work part‑time weekend hours, providing guidance, supervision, and positive role modeling. Key Responsibilities Attend weekend part‑time shifts (8‑4 or 2‑midnight schedules). Provide daily supervision and ensure a safe, structured environment. Build supportive, professional relationships with youth. Assist with routines, meals, activities, and transitions. Support behavioral and emotional needs using trauma‑informed approaches. Teach and reinforce life skills (communication, hygiene, responsibility). Plan and participate in individual and small group activities (≤6 participants) in accordance with treatment plans. Maintain cleanliness of living, dining, educational, and recreational areas. Provide first aid and coordinate medical or emergency situations. Support behavior interventions, including safe restraint when necessary, as trained. Complete required paperwork (time sheet, level card, goal tracking, incident reports, 51A’s) promptly. Attend trainings and supervision meetings. May be asked to prepare weekend meals or provide transportation to clients (with proper insurance). Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Childcare experience in a residential setting, preferably with a similar population. Computer literate (Microsoft Office, internet). Willingness to learn new software.
