Community Course Art Instructors Seasonal Professional AAC, Cincinnati, OH, US Spring Community Course ArtInstructors (Multiple Positions) TheOffice of Engagementat theArt Academy of Cincinnati is accepting applications for the contracted position ofArtInstructor forteen and adult courses.Instructors can teach more than one course if applicable. Each course consists ofsixtwo-and-a-half-hour classsessions.Details about the individual courses can be foundin the linked titles above. Responsibilities Include: Communicating withtheAssociate Director of Engagementto coordinateinstructor onboardingCreating athorough and professional syllabusforcourse Meeting with and communicating with the Associate Director of Engagement about materials Instruction of a studio-based lesson plan with theobjectiveof teaching specific skills to students whilealsogiving them the space to create work around the subject matter they choose Demonstrating beginner-to-advanced techniques applicable to the class Challenging a class of up to 15students with personal review of their work andfacilitatingpeer-basedreviewconversation or critiques Creatingan inclusive and respectful studio environment for all students Encouragingpositive andcritically supportivefeedback Completing survey and assessment requirements Experience Needed: 4-yeardegree in Art, Design, Education, Language, arelatedfield OR advancedcommensurateexperience in astudiopractice, method, media, or technique Expertise in the field/medium you are applying to teach Teaching experience Compensationand Benefits: $35/ hr + planning stipend The Art Academy of Cincinnati is committed to policies of equal opportunity and non-discriminationon the basis of sexual orientation, race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or gender expression, age, or disability, veteran's status, as protected by law, in all educational programs and activities, admission of students, advertisements, and conditions of employment.
