- Family Medicine Hospitalist Faculty Position, Family Medicine Residency to start 7/1/2027 \n
- UCLA Academic Appointment \n
- 7 on/off dayshift schedule; 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday - Sunday \n
- Newborn checks \n
- 26 work weeks per year + accrued vacation time & additional PTO (listed below) \n
- FM Hospitalist Program Start date: 7/1/2027. Physicians starting earlier may work in an outpatient role, including the option for a 7-on/7-off, 12-hour shift outpatient schedule, until the hospitalist program begins \n
- H1 visa eligible \n
Compensation and Additional Benefits:

- Competitive compensation package, commensurate with qualification and experience; based on MGMA values \n

- New graduate estimated annual compensation is over $341,000 with options for additional shifts \n
- Minimum three years of experience estimated annual compensation is over $362,000 with options for additional shifts \n

Requirements:
\n- \n
- Candidates must be family medicine residency-trained \n
- Board certified/eligibility in family medicine required \n
- Must be proficient and certified (or willing to become certified) to teach procedures \n
Kern Medical Overview:

- Only designated level II trauma center for Kern County and also serves as a tertiary medical center (222 beds) \n
- UCLA affiliated teaching hospital \n
- Kern Medical trains over 200 medical & osteopathic students, residents and fellows annually \n
- Graduate medical education programs in the specialties of Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Psychiatry, General Surgery and Pharmacy as well as Fellowship Programs in Child & Adolescent and Addiction Psychiatry, Infectious Disease, Addiction Medicine and Simulation Laboratory (non-ACGME program) \n
