The Real Estate Paralegal position, based in Los Angeles, Century City, or Orange County, offers crucial support to attorneys throughout all phases of real estate transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, and closing. Ideal for candidates with substantial real estate experience, the role involves handling complex tasks and collaborating directly with clients, title companies, and other parties. Reporting to the U.S. Paralegal Manager and Real Estate Paralegal Coordinator, responsibilities include assisting with commercial real estate financing and acquisitions, reviewing title documents, surveys, and zoning reports, and preparing necessary correspondence and summaries. The role also entails coordinating with title companies, surveyors, and zoning authorities to resolve issues, negotiating coverage, and drafting various documents such as escrow instructions and loan-related papers. Additional duties involve reviewing lease abstracts, conducting searches (UCC, litigation, bankruptcy), and supporting the closing process. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work overtime. A bachelor's degree is required, with a paralegal certificate preferred, along with 5–7 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, preferably within a top-tier firm. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat is essential.
