Position Highlights: Join busy Neurosurgery practice Team supports Neurosurgery inpatient and outpatient service at two acute care hospitals and a rehab facility for Neurosurgeons, adults and pediatrics Cover inpatient census, first call ER, consults, rounding, coordinates inpatient surgeries Critical Care or Neuroscience bedside nursing clinical experience required Practice setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Assist in OR is optional On-call rotation for holidays, weekends and PTO coverage Surgical and on call experience preferred Enhanced Work-Life balance: Enjoy weekdays off for personal time, hobbies, or family activities. Eligible for state medical license and DEA/Controlled Substance About the Facility 387 bed hospital Level II trauma Brand new and dedicated Neurosurgery floor Major Stroke Center Excellent and well-respected Neurosurgery Program 24/7 Intensivist service 36 bed ICU Integrated referral network Part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred. Registered Nurse preferred. Education: Master's degree of Nursing required.
