Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for assessing and administering medications to residents, reporting any changes in their condition to the physician and charge nurse, updating family members, and assisting Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with their duties.

Essential Job Duties

• Administer medications to residents while adhering to the 5 Rights of Medication Administration.
• Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
• Communicate any changes in resident conditions to the charge nurse promptly.
• Assist CNAs in responding to call lights and other responsibilities.
• Provide updates to physicians and family members regarding any changes in resident conditions as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Required Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a valid Wisconsin LPN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Preferred: 1+ years of related work experience.
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are necessary.
