Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Tech (OB Tech) to join a busy acute care obstetrics unit. In this role, you will assist the surgical team during cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment while delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced labor and delivery setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical instruments and supplies.
• Assist physicians and nurses during obstetric surgical procedures, including C-sections.
• Ensure proper setup and turnover of operating rooms.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments and supplies as needed.
• Assist with patient positioning, transport, and preparation for surgery.
• Accurately document procedures using the facility's electronic medical record system.

• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Tech experience .
• Previous OB/ Labor & Delivery Surgical Tech experience required.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
