Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Medical Oncology team. The APP works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide comprehensive care to patients throughout their cancer journey. This role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license while building meaningful relationships with patients and their families in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is clinically strong, highly organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional oncology care.

Salary Range: $110,000-$145,000.00. A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, and certifications as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
• Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
• Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
• Assess patient/family needs and provides education.
• Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Often incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.
• Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
• Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
• Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.
• Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.
• May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

OR

Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Clinical Nurse Specialist Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. AOCNS preferred (if applicable). Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
