Maintenance Technician – Paragould, AR Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is looking for individuals to join their dynamic team of Maintenance Technicians at the Paragould, AR facility. The maintenance technician’s primary responsibility is to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and physical structures. Pay $25.25 to $30.40 based on experience Shift Schedule Night Shift 7:00 pm to 7:00 am – 4 on / 4 off Responsibilities Visually inspect and test machinery or equipment, diagnose electrical problems, and perform necessary repairs needed to safely install and/or return production equipment to acceptable operating conditions Dismantle defective machinery and equipment and correctly install reconditioned, new, or repaired parts Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery or plant equipment as well as install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, and electronic components Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment Plan out and install plumbing assemblies to maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment and repair or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment Communicate effectively with team members Perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day in a loud, noisy, industrial environment Basic Qualifications 3 years or more industrial maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience working with a computer, tablet, or smartphone Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree in a related field Industrial Maintenance Certification Experience with PLC Benefits Our goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
