Your Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric through geriatric demographics, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational skills.
• Create customized treatment strategies targeting both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions, addressing communication modalities such as language, fluency, sound, and swallowing.
• Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure consistent progress outside of therapy hours.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain meticulous records that adhere to all necessary regulatory standards.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in speech language pathology through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not already ASHA-certified.

Certification Requirements

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training must be completed within 30 days of starting position.
