Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Level Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dynamic warehouse environment. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of high-value test and measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of warehouse best practices, excellent organizational skills, and proven experience with SAP inventory management. You will be responsible for leading a team, maintaining a safe and productive work environment, and contributing to the overall success of the supply chain. Your tasks Warehouse Operations Management: Directly oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing and inventory control. Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates. This includes performance management, scheduling, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Receiving: Manage the receiving inspection process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards. outbound shipping activities, coordinating with carriers and ensuring timely delivery. Resolve any shipping/receiving discrepancies. Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, physical inventories, and SAP transaction management. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. SAP Expertise: Utilize SAP (specifically MM and SD modules) to manage inventory, process orders, generate reports, and track shipments. Be a subject matter expert for the team on SAP warehouse processes. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy within the warehouse. Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date warehouse documentation, including procedures, work instructions. KPI Monitoring: Develop, track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse performance, such as inventory accuracy, inventory turnover, and order fulfillment rates. Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve operational issues, escalating as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as Procurement, Production, Quality, Shipping and Sales to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a is a plus. Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role, leading and supervising a team. Proven experience working with SAP (specifically MM and SD modules) – required. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in SAP transaction codes related to warehouse management. Strong understanding of warehouse best practices and inventory control principles. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack – certification a plus). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Experience with high value/sensitive equipment handling preferred. Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, medical) preferred. The total compensation for this position is $72K-$95K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
