We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive patient care across various medical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of clinical expertise, including experience with EMR systems, medical documentation, and specialized procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, and catheterization. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care tailored to diverse patient populations, including those in acute care, long-term care, hospice, and community health environments. Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and physical examinations, to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Administer medications via injection or IV infusion following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Manage complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
• Provide patient education on health coaching topics, medication administration, and discharge instructions.
• Assist in triage processes to prioritize urgent cases in emergency or urgent care settings.
• Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as cardiology, ophthalmology, trauma medicine, infectious disease care, and geriatrics.
• Support infection control practices and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Participate in case management activities including discharge planning and long-term care coordination.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training on ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and other relevant medical documentation standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and other accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (RN) in accordance with state or country regulations.
• Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
• Experience with specialized procedures such as dialysis support, ostomy care, mammography assistance, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to perform venipuncture (phlebotomy), specimen collection/processing, and laboratory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with critical care transport protocols and trauma medicine practices is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and practicing infection control standards.
• Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are desirable.
