Step into a day where your MIG skills shape real products. With Express Employment Professionals, you’ll join one of several manufacturing teams across the East Madison area as a GMAW (MIG) welder. We’ll match your experience and goals with the right shop—because we’re hiring for multiple partners and multiple openings.
What a typical day looks like- Review blueprints, work orders, and weld symbols before striking the first arc
- Set up for MIG welding on various materials and thicknesses while holding tight tolerances
- Fit, measure, and fabricate parts; then complete grinding, deburring, and metal finishing
- Operate overhead cranes and related shop equipment safely
- Inspect your welds for accuracy and quality, maintaining a clean, orderly work area
- At least 1 year of hands-on MIG welding experience
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools with precision
- Familiarity with hand tools, grinders, and finishing equipment (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Personal welding gear to complete a weld test
- Schedule: Varies by company; typically Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
- Pay: $21–$26+/hour, based on experience and role
