Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled CVOR Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care in a fast-paced Cardiac Operating Room. The RN will support cardiac procedures, ensure patient safety, and coordinate with surgical teams to deliver quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for cardiac surgeries.
• Assist during CVOR procedures, maintaining sterile environment and supporting surgical team.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes during surgeries.
• Document all procedures and patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent patient care.
• Adhere to hospital policies, certifications, and safety standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of CVOR experience in a clinical setting.
• Possess active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications at time of submission.
• Obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date.
• Be a current, unrestricted RN licensed to practice locally.
• Ability to work a day shift with flexibility for on-call responsibilities.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in cardiac OR procedures.
