Oncology RN

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks an Oncology RN to deliver compassionate, evidence-based cancer care within our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you’ll provide chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient education while collaborating closely with oncologists and an interdisciplinary team. You’ll monitor treatment responses, ensure safe handling of antineoplastic agents, and maintain detailed EMR documentation. Responsibilities Provide direct oncology nursing care including assessments, chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient education Monitor and document patient responses to treatment, vital signs, labs, and adverse reactions; escalates changes promptly Coordinate care with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team to support individualized treatment plans Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and home care instructions Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and chemotherapy handling protocols Use EMR systems for accurate documentation and communication across the care team Support patients and families emotionally through all stages of cancer care, including palliative and end-of-life care Skills Oncology nursing Chemotherapy and biotherapy administration Venous access management (central lines, ports, PICC) Patient and family oncology education Symptom and side-effect management Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Oncology treatment protocols and guidelines Infection prevention and controlPalliative and end-of-life care support Interdisciplinary team collaboration Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications Active, unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) of practice Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred Chemotherapy/biotherapy administration certification (e.g., ONS/ONCC) strongly preferred BLS certification required; ACLS preferred depending on facility Proficiency with electronic medical records systems Knowledge of current oncology treatment protocols and safety standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
