Restaurant Manager

Blue Box Café by Daniel Boulud - Costa Mesa is seeking a Restaurant Manager. The role requires excellent leadership, food and wine knowledge, and a commitment to outstanding guest service. Responsibilities Perform proper execution of opening and closing procedures, pre and post service duties Assist the general manager with pre‑meal meetings and staff training Monitor service to guests in all areas of the restaurant and ensure adherence to service standards Communicate with kitchen to update them of service issues (e.g., pace of service, VIP tables) Review reservation sheet and seating plan, respond to special requests or VIPs Maintain supply pars including linen, china, glass, and silverware Maintain phone coverage standards and inventory checks Inspect dining room before service Sustain guest relations and menus updates and descriptions Float during service time to observe and assist the service staff, and open/close the restaurant as needed Competencies & Qualifications Four years of service experience with at least three in management, preferably in a fine‑dining or private club environment Ability to lead, train and inspire a team Organizational and time‑management skills Professional demeanor with positive written and oral communication skills Ability to engage guests successfully and build relationships Positions Require Full availability – daytime, evening hours and weekends Reference check Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary of $75,000 to $80,000 Eligibility for discretionary year‑end bonus 401(k) plan with employer matching up to 4% of salary Competitive health insurance options, with employer contributions toward premiums Access to ancillary benefits: dental, vision, short‑term disability, life, and AD&D insurance Employee discount at other Dinex properties (restrictions apply) Opportunities for growth and advancement Equal Opportunity Employer The Dinex Group LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
