By offering cutting-edge treatments, innovative research, and a patient-centered approach, we are redefining what’s possible in the fight against cancer and blood disorders.If you want to be part of a growing organization committed to **healing, hope, and advanced care**, join us and help make a meaningful impact!**Job Description:**# **Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)****Location: Brooklyn, NY****Hours/Days: 4/10 hour shifts, Mon, Wed-Fri 8:00am-6:00pm, RDO Tuesday****Organization: New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS)**## **In This Role, You Will:*** **Update and maintain the electronic medical record with up to date vital signs, patient demographics, medication reconciliation, allergies and medical diagnoses.*** **Manage Physician inbox messages and prioritize tasks assigned via the electronic medical record.*** **Assist in maintaining the medical inventory; place orders for new materials and stock rooms to ensure adequate supplies for physician staff.*** **Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments.*** **Escort patients to exam rooms.*** **Provide patient education concerning medications, management of diseases, home treatments, and special diets.*** **Assist physician with exams and/or procedures.*** **Prepare and administer Injections.*** **Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens.*** **Perform point of care lab testing.*** **Perform EKGs.*** **Administer and document medication under a physician’s order and follows the five (5) medication rights and reduce the potential for medical error.*** **Be cross-trained in infusion & intake.**## **We Require:*** **Current NYS LPN license required.*** **Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.*** **IV Competency required.*** **Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.*** **Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.*** **Experience with EMR’s.*** **Reliable transportation to any of NYCBS location for patient care needs.**## ## **What We Offer:*** **Salary: Starting at $35/hr*** **Benefits: Health Insurance on Day 1, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-term disability, 401k Plan, Paid Time off (PTO), 8 paid holidays (2 floating)****Apply Today!****Join us at NYCBS, where we are making strides in healthcare through innovative and compassionate care.****Visit us:****Nycancer.com****Follow us: NYCBS on Facebook****New York Cancer and Blood Specialists is an Equal Opportunity Employer.** #J-18808-Ljbffr
