Industrial Janitor - 1st Shift - Monday - Friday ($17.00/hr.)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for an Industrial Janitor to be based out of Byesville, OH. This person will be responsible for the cleanliness of the entire facility and grounds. Additional responsibilities include occasional painting and grounds maintenance.

What you'll do:

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
• Clean windows and mirrors as needed
• Clean and supply restrooms
• Remove waste and empty trash
• Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
• Restock cleaning and supplies and keep restrooms, breakrooms, etc replenished
• Organize janitorial storage areas
• Provide list of needed supplies to appropriate personnel
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately
• Paint miscellaneous railings and floor markings as instructed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Take ownership of this role and ensure facility is always clean and presentable
• Collaborate with personnel as needed to ensure goals are being met

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies
• Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally
• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
• Must be able to lift, pull or push at least 50 lbs
• Mus be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
• Must be able to wear PPE and work safely
• Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to walk/stand for entire shift
