HOA Strategist Consultant

One of our clients, a leading financial institution is investing in the development of a new strategic business segment focused on the Homeowners Association (HOA) market. To lead this initiative, the organization is seeking an experienced industry leader who can assess the market opportunity, develop the business strategy, evaluate risks and investments, and build a roadmap for establishing a scalable and profitable HOA banking business. This role will serve as the architect of the strategy - not the operator of an existing business. Key responsibilities: Develop the strategic vision and business case for the organization's HOA market offering. Evaluate market opportunities, competitive dynamics, client needs, and long-term growth potential. Assess operational, regulatory, credit, compliance, and servicing considerations associated with entering and scaling the HOA segment. Define the investment strategy, including required capabilities, technology, talent, partnerships, and infrastructure. Build financial models, ROI analyses, and growth scenarios to support executive decision-making. Develop recommendations on product offerings, pricing, service models, and market positioning. Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to secure alignment and investment. Create a multi-year roadmap for building and scaling the HOA business. Qualifications: Extensive experience within the HOA, community association, banking, or property management ecosystem. Experience developing or scaling a business line, market segment, or strategic growth initiative. Strong understanding of risk, economics, operations, and client dynamics within the HOA market. Ability to develop executive-level business cases and strategic recommendations. Experience presenting investment proposals and growth strategies to senior leadership. Exceptional analytical, commercial, and strategic planning capabilities. Preferred experience: Experience within financial services, treasury management, deposits, payments, lending, or reserve fund solutions. Familiarity with HOA operating models, reserve structures, and industry economics. Knowledge of HOA technology ecosystems, including platforms such as CINC, Vantaca and other community association management solutions. Established relationships and credibility within the HOA industry. The ideal candidate: The ideal candidate has successfully helped build or transform a business focused on the HOA market and understands what it takes to create a sustainable, profitable, and scalable offering.
